375 Circles Exhibited, 90 Groups Performed Live Music, Made The Event The Largest Ever! The Winners Of The "TuneCoreJapan Award" For The Best Circle Contest Were Also Announced!

HIKKY (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yasushi Funakoshi) held "MusicVket 5", a comprehensive music event on metaverse space, for nine days from August 26 (Sat.) to September 3 (Sun.), 2023.
This was the 5th MusicVket. The number of circles participating in MusicVket 5 was the largest ever, with 375 circles exhibiting. The redesigned venue and the design and functionality of the listening machines were well received, and both the VR venue and the web browser venue, where visitors could enter from their smartphones, were crowded with people enjoying the music.
A special MusicVket 5 live world was created for the event, and a total of 90 artists performed live during the event. The special live world allowed the audience to freely choose the stage scenery and lighting, so each live performance was unique to each artist, and all the live performances were a great success.
In addition, at the "Oshi Circle Contest" held during the exhibition, the winners of the "TuneCore Japan Award" and "MusicVket Management Award" were also announced on September 29.
What is MusicVket?
MusicVket is a comprehensive music event to be held in the Metaverse space, which was born in 2020 based on the strong desire of music creators and artists not to lose the opportunity to present their works amid the continuing cancellation of various events in the Corona Disaster, and on users' requests to hold a virtual event with music as its theme.
MusicVket is characterized by the fact that even those without VR equipment can easily enjoy the event, and during the event period, participation is free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Redesigned venue and listening devices were well received, with 375 circles participating, the largest number ever!
This year's MusicVket 5 features a completely new exhibit hall. The "Chill Space" was created with attention to detail, including cinema-like lighting to create a relaxed atmosphere, interior furnishings such as turntables and sofas, ceiling pipes, air conditioning ducts, and wiring on the floor. The audience enjoyed encountering new music from 375 circles, the largest number ever. The listening machines for listening to the exhibited works were also renewed in design and functionality, and the system whereby the booth opens and music is automatically played when you approach was very well received as "an experience unique to metaverse".
The web browser venue, which can be accessed from a smartphone, has also improved in description and quality since the last time, allowing many people to enjoy an easy metaverse music experience.

ChumuNote (https://twitter.com/tmgnrei ) | The song's fast pace starting from the intro and the diverse sound development from the electro-pop axis fascinated me, and I felt that the song was a GOOD match for VR! |
ABSOLUTE CASTAWAY(https://twitter.com/tareko_mitsuki ) | The overall expression of the worldview was beautiful, and the part of the song that started with the head chorus, which had a calm atmosphere, and built up to a lively part drew me in! |
