Sony Will Also Be Present At Virtual Market 2022 Winter
HIKKY (CEO: Yasushi Funakoshi, Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) announced 'unlink', a solution that allows external devices to be linked to its proprietary metaverse development engine, Vket Cloud. The first device to be linked is ‘mocopi’, a mobile motion capture device from Sony(President and CEO: Kimio Maki; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo). Sony will also be exhibiting for the first time at the world's largest* VR event “Virtual Market 2022 Winter”. The event will be held from December 3rd to 18th, 2022.

About The New Solution “unlink”

Unlink is a solution consisting of a set of functions centered around the Vket Cloud engine that enables users to communicate more easily across the boundaries between the real and virtual worlds in the metaverse.
A function to link Sony's 'mocopi' with Vket Cloud will be provided as a first step. Anyone will be able to easily send motion data to the Metaverse using a smartphone, making it easier and less costly, and contributing to greater flexibility in planning.
Various uses will be possible in the 'Para-real World' that HIKKY is developing, which combines the real and virtual worlds.
For example, it will be possible to expand various activities in the metaverse, such as live-streaming and local sightseeing guides simultaneously in virtual and real life, and realise easier development of virtual customer service in the metaverse.
Unlink will gradually be demonstrated in concrete examples through Virtual Market (Vket) venue. And unlink will continue to expand its functionality in cooperation with various hardware in the future.

What Is 'Vket Cloud'?

What Is 'mocopi'?
‘mocopi’ is a mobile motion capture system that enables motion capture and real-time motion input to virtual reality (VR) using only a small, lightweight sensor with proprietary technology and a smartphone (dedicated application). Not only does it easily realize the production of avatar videos and motion data, including full-body movements, both indoors and outdoors, but it can also be used as a motion input device to control avatars in real-time.

Sony Exhibits At Virtual Market 2022 Winter For The First Time
Sony, which is exhibiting at the Virtual Market for the first time, will have a booth with a dance stage motif at one of the corporate exhibition venues, Para-real Nagoya.
At the entrance of the booth, visitors will be greeted by mannequins wearing Sony's new product 'mocopi', and inside a promotional video about 'mocopi' will be shown, allowing visitors to learn more about the product.
The Kasou Butoh Dan, a team of dancers active in VR, will also make an appearance on 14 December, where visitors will be able to enjoy a spectacular dance motion with the ‘mocopi’ in action.
