HIKKY calls for Beta Testers of Vket Cloud, a metaverse engine. 
HIKKY is requesting testers to create an environment using the model data from Vket Cloud.

· What is Vket Cloud?

Vket Cloud is a high-end metaverse engine. Develop your very own virtual spaces using Vket Cloud and you can access it with a mere click from your smartphones and web browsers without downloading any specific application or add-on. Vket Cloud supports fully networked multiplayer so that everyone can enjoy communicating through voice chat, expressive avatars and text chat, from anywhere in the world, in real time.

· Behind the Beta Test

Vket Cloud is not a platform or software as a service, but is better described as a development engine where you can create your own metaverse spaces.

We aspire to make it available for everyone to express their creative potential without platform limits or hardware boundaries.

In this Beta Test, we would like the testers to develop their own worlds through Vket Cloud on a trial basis and to give us feedback. With the feedback, we will make Vket Cloud development tools more accessible for everyone. As an early adopter, you will be well equipped to capitalize on the platform when it’s ready, and have a voice in its development.

Skills in Unity will be necessary for this Beta Test, but we are currently developing editors and tools that are more easily accessible for people without technical knowledge, with in-house tools and templates.

<Beta Test Overview>

The Beta Testers will be provided model data of a venue called GALLEREAL free of charge.

Modify the GALLEREAL model freely to make your own unique world.

The world will be uploaded onto the test server provided by HIKKY and please note that it will be open to the public later.

What you can do in the Beta Test

　・Modify the GALLEREAL model and let people enjoy the world you’ve created using Vket Cloud

　・Use your own model data and test it in multiplayer with other testers using Vket Cloud

　・Set external links to your own websites or create a ring of Vket Cloud metaverses

　・Make your content open to public

　　- You will be using the test server provided by HIKKY, note that cloud can be self-hosted in the future.

　・We encourage our beta testers to point out problems and possible improvements

-Bugs

-Exploits

-Crashing

-Font and upper case characters are unreadable

-Slow loading times, assets fail to load, etc

-Anything else you discover!

What you CANNOT yet do in the Beta Test:

　・Commercial use (Self Promotion is allowed, but please refrain from selling exhibition spaces and the like. Please send an inquiry to Hikky for further information.)

　・Having avatars unique to the world (Visitors are going to use default avatars or their own)

　・Developing overly computationally complex scripts or functions.*

For now, we’re looking to test the general usability on a surface level. Extremely complex scripts like full games will be of interest in due time, but due to the myriad of situations that can occur (and knowing the great talents of our testing pool!), we ask that any scripts during the testing period are simple and readable for our development staff.

　・Housing functions and Avatar Maker functions are still in development

<Skill Requirements>

At least one person in your team must be able to:

　・place GameObjects in a Unity Scene

　・swap textures of materials

　・have a rough idea of what an FBX file is

These should be quite basic skills for Unity.

In addition, we are looking for technical support staff during the test.

As technical support staff, you will be answering questions relating to world development using Unity to other beta testers.

The model of the venue will be provided to members who take on the role of staff, but your world will not be open to the public.
