Vket Announces the Companies Exhibiting at Vket 2021

Vket events are the largest virtual reality (VR) events in the metaverse, and with the recent booming interest in all things metaverse, companies from many industries are showing interest and marketing themselves in this space. Vket 2021 boasts a total of 80 corporate sponsors, the largest number since its inception in 2018.

Among these exhibitors include the gaming firm behind popular game series Shinovi Masters, Marvelous Inc., and the financial securities firm, SMBC NIKKO Securities, Inc. Come visit Vket 2021 to see metaverse-exclusive content from a wide range of corporations and see how Vket won a Guinness World Record™ for having the most booths at a VR event.

The theme for Vket 2021 is Metaverse City, and the venues where the corporate sponsors will be exhibiting at are called Parareal Shibuya and Parareal Akihabara.

When you arrive at the venue, everything starts out with bright lights that dim to reveal Tokyo’s Shibuya and Akihabara districts replicated from their real life counterparts in VR as "parareal" (a portmanteau of “parallel” and “real,” indicating a mixture of the virtual and real worlds combined) cities.

Even the weather of the venues will be linked to weather in the real world. The buildings get taller with more visitors coming into the world, and pops up will provide visitors with information about both the real world and the metaverse versions of the locations.

Japanese railway company JR East’s Virtual Akihabara Station is back from Vket 6! Come to Parareal Akihabara to see it back in action. The realistic train station and venue are connected to their real world versions, so you can enjoy Akihabara Station more than ever! You can pass through the gate with your Suica card, a prepaid rechargeable smart card used in Japan.

Once at the station, you’ll find a variety of popular characters from Evangelion, Crayon Shin-chan, and Sword Art Online. Also, a part of the station can be accessed from the web browser-based version of Vket, so even more people can enjoy it. This will be part of JR East’s new real-integrated-with-digital experiences project: the Beyond Stations Concept.

This is BEAMS’ third time exhibiting at Vket, but their first time selling original avatars at their booth! Come visit their space at Parareal Shibuya, where they will exhibit real products and 3D models from Chibi Maruko-chan, Odd Taxi, and The Wonderful! design works.

Go upstairs to the second floor and you’ll see Virtual Asakusa, a collaboration with the Netflix original movie Asakusa Kid, which will be distributed exclusively on Netflix worldwide starting December 9. You will feel like you entered a time warp to old Asakusa in Japan’s Showa Era, including Asakusa’s France Za theater where you can watch a tap dance performed by Yo Oizumi and Yuya Yagira from the movie. Also, BEAMS will hold a lottery event where you can get limited-edition merch exclusive to Vket 2021.

We are honored to host Airsoft gun company TOKYO MARUI at Vket once again! Their newly-designed booth at Parareal Akihabara will feature a number of 3D models of recently released airguns, along with a shooting range where you can test fire them.

 On the second floor will be collaborative exhibitions with Military VTuber Irodori Mayoi, training and strategy simulation game Girls’ Frontline, and the military-style apparel brand MAYOZONES. Visitors can enjoy taking pictures with the life-size character cutouts and watching movies. You can also get a free, visitor-exclusive MAYOZONES brand accessory for your avatar.

Kana Pro Market by Toppan Inc. is an online marketplace where users can make and sell their own original goods, and also the official site for Vket 2021 merchandise! This special booth will be at the Claus Mall in Parareal Akihabara and feature different creator collaborations at the booth and their newly drawn characters’ goods will be on sale during the event. There will also be a Merch Tree where selfies taken at the booth will be displayed on merch decorating a Christmas tree. You can also make your own tree at their booth!

The gorgeous booth will also feature posters and panels from Ore Kana, a livestream hosted by voice actress Sora Tokui’s “original soul ultimate synchronous" virtual avatar, Tokui VSora. Store clerks will also be there to greet you and keep energy at the booth high!

A massive Yumi dressed up in a Santa outfit will meet you at the Marvelous booth in Parareal Shibuya. Their booth has a Christmas-themed building and feels like you enter the world of Senran Kagura Shinovi Master: New Link. If you find the easter egg, you'll get a special present from Yumi!

There will also be a festive game at the Christmas tree, a snowball fight, and picture booth at their exhibit. Christmas-themed avatars will be on sale and free 3D models will be available exclusively for the duration of Vket. They are aiming to facilitate the easiest avatar sales possible, and you can even visit their booth in the web browser version of Vket 2021. Some special avatars are exclusive to this web-based version.

HP Japan’s booth will have a “Make A Wish to HP Santa” tree! Decorate ornaments with ever-changing Japanese kanji characters and make a wish for what you want from HP Santa! If you take a selfie with the tree and post it on social media with a hashtag #HPSanta, he may just make your wish come true.

Furthermore, if you answer the questionnaire, you’ll get a Christmas outfit for Sakura-chan (name TBD) for free. There will also be creator works on display that were made using HP Workstations, along with 3D models of many HP products that you can pick up and experience up close.

SMBC NIKKO Securities, Inc. will be exhibiting the first ever Vket booth from the financial securities industry. At their Parareal Shibuya booth, go for a spin on the Stock Price Roller Coaster where you experience fluctuating market conditions from the past, like the 2008 financial crisis and the effects of Abenomics. There will also be a virtual roundtable discussion event where you can meet actual securities analysts working at the forefront of the industry. This chance to learn about investment and asset management in such a personal way is something unique to the metaverse.

Guilty Gear -Strive-, the popular fighting game available on PS4, PS5, and Steam, will be an exhibitor at Vket! They’ll be doing a free giveaway of the hat worn by the game’s popular character, May. 3D models of clothing items including shoes, hoodies, and backpacks will be available at affordable prices, and if you answer a survey then you’ll receive a free 3D model of Ramlethal Valentine’s hat! There will be a special photo booth where you can take photos of your avatar in a fighting game pose. Show off your cool photos on social media!
