There is only one day left until the doors open for Vket 6, and corporate sponsors including and Yamaha and HP will have exhibits at the VR event.
Yamaha, TOYOTA MARINE, HP and many other firms will exhibit at Virtual Market's upcoming VR event, Vket 6. The event starts tomorrow on Aug. 14 at 10am JST (6pm PST) and will run until Aug. 28.
XR technology has applications across industries, and there has already been a lot of excitement around these companies entering the VR space. Take a look at some of these corporate Vket 6 exhibitor highlights:
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.
Take a drive around the virtual Vket 6 venue thanks to Vket newcomer, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. At their booth, you can pick up a virtual motorcycle and drive around Vket 6 thanks to their special VR ride share service.
There are two options to choose from: their YZR-R1 and MOTOROiD models. Visitors can ride on the bikes and experience realistic sound effects and the refreshing feeling of riding around on a motorcycle in VR.
TOYOTA MARINE
Last April, we held a virtual boat show for TOYOTA MARINE, and now they’re back for Vket 6! Come visit their exhibit where a to-scale model of their PONAM-31 cruiser boat, which people can have fun cruising, fishing, and the private luxury space. Take a break and enjoy relaxing on the cruiser at the TOYOTA MARINE booth.
SAMURAIDO by FAIS UN REVE CO., LTD.
The SAMURAIDO booth is hosted by FAIS UN REVE CO., LTD., who is also joining the Virtual Market for the first time at Vket 6! Their motto is to “bring Japanese traditional culture and technology to the world,” and they are selling highly detailed 3D models of two samurai armor sets for Sengoku period commanders, Shingen Takeda and Kanetsugu Naoe.
Logicool G
Come to Logicool G’s booth to check out their musical computer keyboard! The oversized keyboard makes sounds when visitors touch it, and there will also be a giveaway of 3D models of their G335 and popular headset series, the “Color Collection.”
On Aug. 14, there will be a challenge to win a Guinness World Record for most users post selfies of their avatars at Logicool G’s booth and posting them on Twitter.
HP Japan Inc.
Go fishing at the HP Japan booth and you could catch a 3D model version of their HMD, the HP Reverb G2. They also have models of their merchandise at a HP workstation, and if you complete a questionnaire, then you could win 3D models for use in VR.
Aside from the above, there will be many other corporate sponsors and exhibitors, including big 3 telecoms firm Docomo, retail giant BEAMS, and VR device maker DecaGear. See the full list below:
